The WIC Clerk/PC will be responsible for providing women with basic breastfeeding information, benefits of breastfeeding, overcoming common barriers and handling common breastfeeding issues. This position will also be responsible for determining participants’ program eligibility, health screenings (blood work and anthropometrics). Job training will be provided to strengthen information and communication skills in order to better support and engage with clients. Computer proficiency is needed to work on virtual platforms like eWIC, Teletask and Anydesk, answer phone calls, and schedule appointments. Travel within Gateway CAP service area is required. Other duties as assigned by supervisor/program manager.
