About The Position
Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital has proudly served residents across Southeast Michigan since 1953. With 632 beds, Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital is a major teaching and research hospital and home to five residency programs and a cardiology fellowship in partnership with Wayne State University School of Medicine. Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital is verified as a Level II trauma center and accredited by the Joint Commission as a primary stroke center. The hospital is also known for clinical excellence and innovation in the fields of orthopedics, neurosciences, women’s health, heart and vascular and cancer care. Under site designate leader, and according to established policies and procedures performs accurate and efficient Ultrasound exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment, independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. Technologists must demonstrate good clinical skills and provide the best possible images for interpretation. Follows Corewell Health philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times.
Requirements
- Graduate of Diagnostic Ultrasound Program or equivalent.
- Minimal as gained at student level.
- Registered by American Registry Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registry eligible, paid at the trainee rate for up to 1 year.
- If unregistered must obtain at least one (ABD or OB/GYN) within 1 year from hire.
- Additional registry within two years from date of hire.
- If registered at hire additional registry must be obtained within 1 year from hire.
- CRT-Vascular Tech-ARDMS-within 1 year from hire for Vascular Department.
- Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers at hire through the American Heart Association.
- Compliance with the MMR, Varicella, Tdap, and Influenza vaccine requirement if in an on-site or hybrid workplace category.

- Performs accurate and efficient Ultrasound exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment, independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.
- Provides the best possible images for interpretation.
