About The Position

The Breast Sonographer performs a variety of Ultrasound procedures both professional and non-clinical consistent with optimal image quality. This role is responsible for entering on-line charges in the computer system (Radiology Information System-RIS) and accountable for charges as specified by the Administrative Policy, ensuring a high level of accuracy. The position also involves providing patient care, ensuring an environment of patient safety, promoting evidence-based practice and quality initiatives, and exhibiting professionalism within established Radiology and Imaging National standards.

Requirements

Graduate of an approved Ultrasound program
Registered as a Sonographer by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), or ARRT (S), with specialties in abdomen, obstetrics and gynecology, or other areas as appropriate.
Effective Communication Skills
Maintain current BLS certification.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience as a Sonographer preferred.
