About The Position

The Department of Radiology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health is seeking a Breast Imaging and Interventional Radiologist. This role supports the UW Health Breast Center, a leading center accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers, which treats over 700 new breast cancer patients annually. The position involves close collaboration with breast surgeons and participation in weekly multidisciplinary tumor board and radiology-pathology correlation conferences. A new state-of-the-art outpatient clinic integrated with breast imaging and clinical care is set to open in Fall 2024. The breast imaging section is also involved in training breast imaging fellows and residents. This position requires onsite work and is considered a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations, necessitating a caregiver check. Applicants can be considered for Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor titles on the Clinician Teacher (CT) or Clinical Health Sciences (CHS) track, with the final title determined by experience and qualifications.

Requirements

  • WI medical license by start date of position.
  • Board-certified or board eligible by American Board of Radiology (ABR) by start date of position.
  • Fellowship training in Breast Imaging including mammography, ultrasound and breast MRI and image-guided breast biopsies is required by start date of position.
  • MD, DO or equivalent is required by start date of position.

Nice To Haves

  • For an appointment at Associate Professor or Professor rank on the CT or CHS track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or Professor on the CHS or CT track.

Responsibilities
