About The Position

The Hostperson/Cashier greets and welcomes guests, offers prompt and courteous service so the guests have an enjoyable experience, and provides point-of-sale service. This role requires honesty and trustworthiness, and associates must pass appropriate security clearances. The position involves preparing and maintaining the dining area, ensuring guests receive high-quality products and service, and adhering to brand standards.

Requirements

  • One year experience in a food and beverage position.
  • Ability to perform major life activities: Standing, lifting, bending, learning, reading, concentrating, thinking, and communicating.
  • Ability to push or pull 60 pounds unassisted and lift and/or carry 30 pounds unassisted.
  • Ability to stand for eight hours, bend, stretch, and reach.
  • Ability to see and hear.
  • Ability to communicate with other associates and/or guests.
  • Computer literate to thoroughly operate property management system: post charges, compute bills, collect payment and make change.
  • Organization skills to assign stations, inform servers of responsibilities, process room service orders, and keep the restaurant in a clean, orderly, and guest-ready manner.
  • Ability to multi-task and remain associate and guest service-centric.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with guests and associates.
  • Ability to solve guest issues with professionalism and maintain a hospitable attitude.
  • Ability to market and promote to increase exposure and sales.
  • Must pass appropriate security clearances.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior cashier experience with a chain food and retail outlet preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests.

  • Close out shift by cleaning and restocking supplies for the next day or shift.
  • Maintain safety and security practices and have thorough knowledge of emergency procedures.
  • Ensure guests are provided with the highest quality product and service.
  • Ensure brand standard documentation is completed as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
