About The Position

Sayre Mansion is a historic inn in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, dedicated to providing a superlative guest experience. We are seeking a breakfast cook to prepare high-quality, homemade breakfast items for our guests, adhering to Sayre Mansion's recipes and creating new dishes. The successful candidate will maintain our reputation for impeccable breakfast offerings and be able to work early morning hours. This role involves close collaboration with the hotel management team and offers the opportunity to be part of a talented team of hospitality professionals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or high school equivalency diploma preferred
• At least one year of prior relevant experience
• Knowledge of food safety and handling requirements
• Excellent customer service skills
• Effective oral and written skills
• Good time management skills
• Professional dress, speech, and behavior
• Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
• Able to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays

Nice To Haves

• Formal culinary training is highly desired

Responsibilities

• Prepares breakfast following established recipes and procedures and maintains a high quality and consistent product
• Follows safety and sanitation rules and practices
• Cleans work areas and all equipment used in food preparation
• Monitors product levels and re-stocks as required, rotating goods to reduce shrinkage
• Orders product from approved vendors to maintain inventory
• Controls purchases to adhere to food cost budget
