About The Position
The Ingleside Hotel and Conference Center in Pewaukee is seeking an experienced culinary professional to cook for the restaurant and room-service in our large, professional kitchen. This is a full-time position with shifts from 6am-2pm, including weekends. The role involves assisting with high-volume banquet preparation for events such as chef's tables, conferences, wine dinners, and up to 100 weddings per year.
Requirements
- Previous restaurant cooking experience, education and/or culinary training is required.
- Must have manual dexterity for knife handling, sautéing, and equipment usage.
- Excellent food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to operate a variety of commercial cooking equipment.
Nice To Haves
- Food knowledge regarding pantry, soups, sauté and broiler preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare food efficiently and timely for guests.
- Communicate effectively with the Executive Chef and Banquet Chef.
- Follow predetermined instruction regarding recipes and quantities.
- Have a basic knowledge of food cost control.
- Comply with all food handling and sanitation procedures.
