About The Position

The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for setting up the buffet before guests arrive for breakfast, displaying food and beverages attractively, and maintaining the cleanliness of the buffet area throughout the morning. This role also involves replenishing food and supplies as needed, preparing coffee and tea, keeping perishables chilled, and ensuring inventory is stocked and properly stored. The attendant will greet guests, accommodate special requests, and maintain a professional image while following company policies. This is a part-time, weekend position with day shifts.

Requirements

  • Ability to work early morning shifts on weekends (including holidays as needed).
  • Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards.
  • Friendly, outgoing personality with a commitment to providing excellent guest service.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Basic understanding of food handling and sanitation guidelines (or willingness to learn).
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25–30 pounds.
  • Effective communication skills in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in hospitality, food service, or customer service.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Sets up the buffet before guests arrive for breakfast.
  • Displays food and beverages in an organized and attractive manner.
  • Cleans area around buffet by wiping, sweeping and/or mopping.
  • Sets out plates, cups, bowls, utensils, and napkins for guests.
  • Prepares coffee and/or tea by established standards.
  • Keeps juices and other perishables chilled.
  • Frequently checks for low food supply and efficiently replenishes as needed.
  • Maintains cleanliness of the buffet area throughout the morning.
  • Properly cleans used plates, utensils, or cups.
  • Removes and disposes of leftover food at the end of the breakfast shift.
  • Cleans buffet area according to established standards.
  • Ensures inventory is stocked and properly stored.
  • May keep daily or weekly records of foods used and consumed.
  • May be responsible for ordering additional food and/or supplies as needed.
  • Greets guests and accommodates special requests.
  • Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
  • Follows company policies and procedures.
  • Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner.
  • Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.
