About The Position

The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for the setup and takedown of the breakfast buffet. This role requires excellent communication and social skills to greet and attend to guests, ensuring all prep work is complete before meal service and before leaving for the day. The attendant must ensure food is of proper quality and maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all work surfaces, food service areas, coolers, tables, counters, chairs, and floors during breakfast hours.

  • Thorough understanding of hotel regulations, operational processes, policies and obligations
  • Willingness and ability to function as an effective team member through good communication and cooperation

  • Must be able to multi-task and handle pressure

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and set up the breakfast dining area.
  • Greet and acknowledge guests as they arrive.
  • Ensure breakfast items are stocked and available to guests during breakfast hours according to company standards.
  • Monitor supplies and equipment and minimize waste.
  • Keep the breakfast bar clean and paper supplies fully stocked at all times.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness of public areas/bus and clean tables.
  • Report any unsafe equipment, low supplies, or safety incidents to the supervisor or duty manager.
  • Help create a safe space by following safety procedures and wearing necessary protective equipment.
  • Check fridges daily and ensure they maintain correct temperatures.
  • Clean all equipment and properly store according to standards.
  • Assist with washing up and other kitchen duties when needed.
  • Interact with guests during operating hours with a warm and friendly demeanor.
  • Vacuum, sweep and mop work areas as needed.
  • Complete the daily checklist.
  • Perform necessary cleaning/closing tasks for the following day.
