About The Position

This is a part-time position for a Breakfast Attendant responsible for providing personalized service to guests and maintaining the breakfast buffet according to brand standards. The role involves food preparation, stocking, cleaning, and ensuring a pleasant and hospitable environment for guests.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent experience.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace and used by guests visiting the workplace.
  • Superior guest services skills.
  • Listening and mental attentiveness in fulfilling guests requirements.
  • Sets-up and cleans up Breakfast buffet on a daily basis.
  • Works morning shift, with minimum supervision.
  • Maintain good personal appearance at all times; wear proper uniform and name tag as prescribed by hotel.
  • Reports to the hotel General Manager.
  • Works under general instructions to prioritize and complete assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personalized service to all guests.
  • Set up and maintain the breakfast buffet as required by brand standards.
  • Follow menu requirements as provided by the brand.
  • Prepare foods such as fresh fruit, breads, pastries, batters and coffee.
  • Stock coffee, juice and milk.
  • Set up serving dishes/trays, utensils, cups and other paper products.
  • Arrange cold food, such as pastries, cereals, etc.
  • Prepare and set up hot food items.
  • Restock items consistently throughout the breakfast hours and for the next day.
  • Maintain the breakfast area in a clean condition during the hours of operation.
  • Sanitize tables and chairs as they are vacated.
  • Clean buffet counter and empty trash as needed.
  • Wash serving equipment and return to storage.
  • Return reusable food supplies to storage.
  • Check the cleaning frequency chart and perform required cleaning daily.
  • Function as a pleasant, hospitable host by greeting guests and offering assistance.
  • Ensure established service procedures are followed at all times.
  • Thank the guest and ask them to return.
  • Advise the Front Office or General Manager of any complaints for immediate rectification.
  • Check inventory levels of all food, beverages and supply items on the buffet and replenish them as needed daily.
  • Assist Front Office or General Manager with ordering or purchasing food supplies.
