About The Position

The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for providing personalized service to all guests, setting up and maintaining the breakfast buffet according to brand standards, and preparing various food and beverage items. This role involves ensuring the breakfast area is clean, well-stocked, and presentable throughout operating hours, as well as assisting with inventory and ordering. The attendant will also function as a hospitable host, greeting guests, offering assistance, and ensuring service procedures are followed.

Requirements

  • Ability to provide personalized service to all guests.
  • Knowledge of setting up and maintaining a breakfast buffet according to brand standards.
  • Ability to follow menu requirements.
  • Skills in preparing various food items including fresh fruit, breads, pastries, batters, and coffee.
  • Ability to stock beverages like coffee, juice, and milk.
  • Proficiency in setting up serving dishes, trays, utensils, cups, and paper products.
  • Capability to arrange cold food items.
  • Skill in preparing and setting up hot food items.
  • Ability to restock items consistently.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean breakfast area.
  • Ability to sanitize tables and chairs.
  • Willingness to clean buffet counters and empty trash.
  • Ability to wash serving equipment and return it to storage.
  • Knowledge of returning reusable food supplies to storage.
  • Adherence to cleaning schedules and daily cleaning tasks.
  • Ability to act as a pleasant and hospitable host.
  • Adherence to established service procedures.
  • Ability to check inventory levels and replenish as needed.
  • Willingness to assist with ordering or purchasing food supplies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personalized service to all guests.
  • Set up and maintain the breakfast buffet as required by brand standards.
  • Follow menu requirements as provided by the brand.
  • Prepare foods such as fresh fruit, breads, pastries, batters and coffee.
  • Stock coffee, juice and milk.
  • Set up serving dishes/trays, utensils, cups and other paper products.
  • Set out/arrange cold food, such as pastries, cereals, etc.
  • Prepare and set up hot food items.
  • Restock items consistently throughout the breakfast hours and for the next day.
  • Maintain the breakfast area in a clean condition during the hours of operation.
  • Sanitize tables and chairs as they are vacated.
  • Clean buffet counter and empty trash as needed.
  • Wash serving equipment and return to storage.
  • Return reusable food supplies to storage.
  • Check the cleaning frequency chart and do the required cleaning each day.
  • Function as a pleasant, hospitable host by greeting guests and offering assistance.
  • Ensure that established service procedures are followed at all times.
  • Thank the guest, and ask him/her to come back again.
  • Advise the Front Office or General Manager of any complaints so that they can be rectified immediately.
  • Check inventory levels of all food, beverages and supply items on the buffet and replenish them as needed for each day.
  • Assist Front Office or General Manager with ordering or purchasing food supplies.
