About The Position

Assembler/Finishers are responsible for construction and quality of a switchgear production and sub-assemblies. This position requires excellent communication skills, problem solving skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
Ability to read tape measures
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings
Basic computer skills required
Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools
Good communication and teamwork skills
Basic math skills

Responsibilities

Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products
Operate forklift and/or spot for forklift driver
Utilize handheld and power tools such as screwdrivers and hand-drills
Work with Quality department to ensure the product meets quality standards
Keep the work area safe, neat, and clean
Perform 5S activities and maintain equipment
Perform work in a safe and healthy manner; ensuring there are no deviations to standard work instructions that could lead to quality, productivity or safety problems
Identify and communicate ideas to team leaders that support improving the team’s performance and the elimination of waste
Participate in process improvement activities
Support other assembly teams when required
Display professional conduct with customers and coworkers
Attend training sessions as needed or required
