About The Position

As a Press Brake Operator, you will play an important role in manufacturing high-quality components that meet customer specifications. In this position, you will set up, operate, and troubleshoot press brake equipment while ensuring accuracy, quality, and safety throughout the production process. You will work closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to support efficient operations and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or demonstrated ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations at a high school level.
  • Experience setting up and operating press brake equipment.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments accurately and effectively.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply information from blueprints and routings.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds.
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to perform additional duties as business needs require.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certification or Associate degree in a manufacturing, machining, engineering technology, or related field.
  • Advanced experience with press brake setup and operation.
  • Knowledge of metallurgical properties, metal fabrication processes, or related coursework.
  • Experience working in a quality-focused manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine press brake setup requirements.
  • Perform press brake setup, including positioning the machine according to programmed requirements and establishing stops for appropriate depths and angles.
  • Start and monitor machine operation to identify malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions.
  • Make setup adjustments as needed to ensure parts meet required specifications.
  • Use precision measuring instruments, including calipers, to verify dimensional accuracy.
  • Inspect first-piece dimensions, angles, and tolerances before proceeding with production.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve technical or production issues.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
  • Support additional operational and manufacturing responsibilities as assigned.
