About The Position

The Break Attendant is responsible for the set up, maintenance and tear down of all coffee and break kiosks. This role involves ensuring that the coffee and break areas are well-stocked, clean, and presentable for guests and associates. The position requires physical stamina for tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods. The Break Attendant will also be responsible for inventory management, deep cleaning of kiosks, and reporting any necessary repairs. Effective communication with supervisors and colleagues is essential, as is the flexibility to work varied schedules to meet business demands.

Requirements

  • Must be mobile, with long standing or walking periods.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work varied hours.
  • Ability to lift 19-pound empty coffee urns.
  • Ability to push and pull refresh cart 200 feet.
  • Ability to lift glassware racks that weigh 25 pounds.
  • Ability to lift soda and ice cream items weighing 10-26 pounds per case.
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds bus tub.
  • Ability to lift parstock items weighing 2-30 pounds to a height of 5 feet.
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds to a height of 5 feet for storage areas.
  • Kneeling and bending to count existing inventory.
  • Kneeling to dust and vacuum.
  • Kneeling to polish kiosks.
  • Ability to reach 5 feet in height to polish glass and brass.
  • Ability to bend and lift kiosk items out of cooler and freezer.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and tear down of coffee break kiosks.
  • Stocking and refreshing frozen and chilled items on kiosk surfaces.
  • Monitoring and continuously refreshing coffee kiosks.
  • Walking to and from storage and cooler areas to retrieve items.
  • Ordering, verifying, and stocking parstock items.
  • Organizing and maintaining all storage areas.
  • Deep cleaning all coffee break kiosks.
  • Reporting any major cleaning or repairs needed.
  • Communicating with Conference Floor Supervisors, Conference Floor Manager, and fellow employees.
  • Remaining present during break periods to attend guests' needs.
  • Providing assistance in other job classifications as determined necessary by immediate superior.
