The company is the world’s top supplier of automotive test facilities, providing a full range of services to commercial automotive industry customers, including major vehicle providers, other original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and clients from the international motor sports community. The Breadboard Test Engineer will work in Allen Park, MI, focusing on the complete physical validation of Software/Hardware functionality at major program milestones. This role involves driving pre-test readiness, troubleshooting Design Verification (DV) issues, and providing requirement assessment documentation. Key responsibilities include coordinating FDJ electrical breadboard builds, identifying vehicle specifications, generating bills of material, ordering electrical parts, and coordinating breadboard construction in the electrical laboratory with operations and high voltage teams. The engineer will also create electrical systems test plans, manage ECU software configuration, maintenance, and testing on the Breadboard to support milestone delivery, and ensure timely delivery of Global Product Development System (GPDS) gateway/milestones to established acceptance criteria. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual with a passion for delivering results, a drive to improve current processes, and a desire to develop new best practices, executing validation testing for each new software/hardware release and DV efficiency objectives.
