About The Position

Nugget Markets is seeking dedicated bakery enthusiasts to join their passionate and talented bakery team. This is a full-time position with shifts starting at 4:00 AM. The role requires travel to Woodland, Vacaville, and West Sacramento locations. Individual associate hourly rates are based on factors including experience, location, and length of employment. Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Possess basic math skills
• Physical ability to mix hundreds of pounds of dough and form into loaves
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
• Intermediate product knowledge including knowledge of temperature, chemical reactions, and bakery products
• Basic understanding of the English language, which includes the ability to communicate and read basic instructions, schedules and signage
• A passion for putting out a great product consistently
• A positive attitude is essential!

Responsibilities

• Mixing and preparing hundreds of hand-formed artisan breads each shift.
• Prepping produce and deli products for bakery items.
• Mixing and scaling ingredients.
• Benching dough.
• Loading carts and racks with product.
• Lifting and stacking flour.
• Operating all kitchen machinery including ovens, proofers, mixers and dough dividers.
• Maintaining a clean, sanitary and attractive work environment.
• Assisting bakery clerks.
• Providing world-class service to guests as needed.
