About The Position
Language Trainers is an international language training company seeking a freelance Brazilian Portuguese Teacher for a client in Port Washington, NY. This is a one-to-one, general course with a total of 30 hours, with each session lasting two hours. The lessons will take place at the client's home in Oyster Bay. The student is a beginner, aged 35-44, and prefers lessons once per week on Thursdays and Fridays between 10 am and 3 pm. The student's motivation is family heritage, and the preferred start date is ASAP.
Requirements
- Native Brazilian Portuguese speaker and/or hold a relevant teaching qualification.
- Experience as a language teacher, translator, or interpreter.
- Valid work permit/visa.
- Live within 20 miles of Oyster Bay, NY.
- Ability to submit CV with references, availability, and earliest possible start date.
- Meet the stated conditions.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one Brazilian Portuguese lessons to a beginner student.
- Conduct lessons at the client's home in Oyster Bay.
- Adapt to the student's schedule, which is Thursdays and Fridays between 10 am and 3 pm.
