About The Position

The Brazer is responsible for joining materials together in the production process by melting a filler metal to create a finished product. This role involves performing repetitive brazing operations with minimal variation, setting up and brazing basic assemblies, and making minor adjustments to the brazing process as needed. The Brazer works under direct supervision and follows standard work procedures to ensure quality requirements are met.

Requirements

  • Experience in a production environment, preferably in brazing or a related field.
  • Ability to pass a preliminary ability test to begin training.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to interpret fractions, decimals, multiplication, and division.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality-oriented mindset.
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic understanding of metallurgy and brazing techniques is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repetitive brazing operations with little variation.
  • Set up and braze basic assemblies in the department with assistance.
  • Make minor adjustments to the brazing process depending on job requirements.
  • Follow standard work procedures and check quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with a small team or participate in one-on-one training sessions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor.
  • Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of brazing equipment.
  • Document and record production data as required.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.
