Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Brazing Certification
• Leak Check
• Cross‑trained in one (1) to four (4) stations.
• Can access and follow Work Instructions.
• Demonstrates basic understanding of 5S principles and Operator Maintenance.
• Demonstrates Knowledge/Adherence to brazing processes and performs inspections.
• Safety - Written level warning or less (2 or fewer points).
• Understands basic workstation risks and can identify hazards and controls.
• Participates in finding and fixing at least one concern report.
• Can recognize and report quality issues.
• Supports accurate handling of non‑conformances according to guidance.
• Completes SOS/EOS checklists.
• Provides at least one improvement, idea or suggestion related to quality, safety, or process.
• Meets disciplinary requirements: Absenteeism - Written warning level of 5 points or fewer
• Meets disciplinary requirements: Performance - No written disciplinary action within the last 6 months
• Meets disciplinary requirements: Behavior - No corrective or behavioral‑based action in the last 6 months
• Time in role requirement of 1–4 months

Responsibilities

• The brazing process may require the employee to work at any brazing station during the workday depending on staffing and production demands. Employees may rotate to different work areas or may be assigned to a specific workstation based on experience, training, and skill requirements.
• Brazers are responsible for joining components through controlled heat and filler metals to meet quality, safety, and production standards.
• Locate, learn, and understand brazing instructions from procedures, drawings, and standard work.
• Prepare joints and components for brazing by cleaning, aligning, and securing parts.
• Perform brazing operations using torches, induction equipment, and other brazing tools.
• Control heat and filler metals to ensure proper brazed joint formation.
• Inspect and verify brazed joints through visual checks, leak tests, and standard work requirements.
• Perform quality checks and document results.
• Use power, pneumatic, and hand tools as required.
• Follow all safety and hot‑work requirements, including PPE and proper gas handling.
• Maintain good communication and work effectively with team members.
• Support and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Understand and support company values, goals, safety, quality, delivery, and cost expectations.
• Participate in continuous improvement by identifying opportunities and contributing ideas.
• Resolve problems at the lowest level possible and communicate potential solutions.
• Demonstrate Integrity, Respect, Teamwork, Innovation, and Courage consistently.
• Remain responsive to customer needs by understanding quality expectations of brazed products.
• Stay detail‑oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks.
