About The Position

The Brazer/Insulator 1 position is an entry-level role for individuals interested in learning technical skills in the HVAC industry. Under supervision, this role will assist with brazing, pipe sizing, and creating fittings like 45 and 90-degree angles. This role also assists with basic welding, interpreting blueprints, and performing piping tasks. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, and a commitment to safety. Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn are essential.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of brazing, pipe fitting, and HVAC systems is an advantage.
• Ability to learn technical skills under supervision.
• Understands safety protocols in a workshop or field environment.
• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and technical drawings with guidance.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Stand continuously, 8+ hours
• Kneel, crouch occasionally

• Lift from floor to waist occasionally
• Lift from waist to shoulder occasionally
• Lift overhead occasionally

Nice To Haves

• Technical school certification or coursework in HVAC, plumbing, or a related field is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Learns and adheres to all safety standards.
• Demonstrates basic brazing skills under direct supervision.
• Understands copper pipe sizing with minimal supervision.
• Able to create 45 and 90-degree fittings and “T” fittings under direct supervision.
• Learns to interpret and follow blueprints with guidance from senior team members.
• Performs piping tasks under supervision with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Assists in adding pipe supports and clamps with guidance.
• Maintains clean work area.
• Willingly assists other departments as needed, maintains a flexible mindset.
• All other duties assigned.
