About The Position

Under direct supervision, brazes together components using torch or brazing machine and flux. Guides torch and rod along joint of work pieces to heat to brazing temperature, melt braze alloy, and bond work pieces together. Assists with setting up equipment, selecting torch tip, flux, and brazing alloy based on data charts or work order. Performs a variety of assembly, fabrication, production, and operator tasks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Some experience brazing CU/CU on an assembly line.
  • Basic understanding of data charts, specification diagrams, and work orders.
  • Able to determine required equipment and settings.
  • Requires precision control and dexterity.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
  • May be required to take related training and/or pass skills tests required for this level.
