About The Position

Baron is looking for a Brand and Marketing Designer to own our brand and lead all visual design across marketing and sales. Our marketing communication team supports all product lines along with maintaining our corporate brand. As our only designer, you'll be the go-to expert on Baron’s image and brand compliance working closely with sales and organizations around the company. Building off existing brand materials, you'll have ownership in growing and expanding the brand: setting standards, building the systems others use, and deciding where design effort has the most impact. Because this role works closely with sales, marketing and our tradeshow planner, we believe the first year works best in person while you learn our brand and build relationships. This position is on-site in Huntsville, AL with the option of moving to a hybrid or remote schedule after the first year, based on performance and business needs. We are looking for a full-time staff member. A portfolio of past work is required for an interview. Please be sure to include a portfolio link with your resume.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional design experience, ideally including in-house B2B or tech work.
• A portfolio showing brand, marketing and sales design, with examples of systems or templates others have used.
• Strong typography, layout and visual storytelling, including the ability to make complex or technical products clear.
• Experience designing large-format and tradeshow graphics, including working with exhibit houses and printers on specs, materials, and production deadlines.
• Expert skills in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Technical skills that enable you to work with a variety of digital platforms, including CRM and web to support marketing and sales projects.
• Working knowledge of Figma a plus.
• Strong PowerPoint experience.
• Hands-on experience using AI design tools in real workflows, and a clear point of view on where they help and where they don't.
• Comfort working independently, managing your own priorities, and presenting and defending design decisions to non-designers.
• Understanding of how design supports business goals like pipeline, conversion and sales effectiveness.

Nice To Haves

• Working knowledge of Figma a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the company brand, including guidelines, visual identity, and the standards that keep everything consistent as more people create content.
• Design high-impact marketing work: website and landing pages, paid and social campaigns, email, and product launches working on HubSpot and other digital platforms. Support webinar materials.
• Lead design for an active tradeshow program, including booth graphics for spaces ranging from 10x10 to 20x40, along with coordinated supporting materials such as custom email signatures, social posting templates, and ads for each event.
• Use AI tools thoughtfully to speed up exploration, variations, resizing and production, while keeping the final output on-brand and high quality.
• Partner with sales on enablement materials such as pitch decks, one-pagers, case studies and competitive pieces, focusing on clarity and persuasion, not just polish.
• Build and maintain an AI compatible template and component library so teammates can produce on-brand work without you, and review what gets made.
• Active involvement in our Web design experience, including landing page optimization or working in HubSpot.
