The Brand Creative Lead (Celsius) is the senior-most day-to-day creative owner of the Celsius brand, partnering closely with the CCO to shape, protect, and evolve the brand’s visual and verbal expression globally. This role functions as the creative steward for Celsius—setting the creative vision alongside senior leadership, enforcing brand standards, and ensuring best-in-class execution across all touchpoints in the US and international markets. The Brand Creative Lead is accountable for maintaining consistency, quality, and cultural relevance across packaging, campaigns, POS, innovation, retail, digital, and experiential work. Equal parts visionary and executor; this role requires someone who can direct and inspire teams while remaining deeply hands-on when needed. The Brand Creative Lead sets the creative bar, provides clear direction and feedback, and ensures that every piece of work reflects the ambition, confidence, and polish expected of a category-defining brand.

Requirements

  • Portfolio required demonstrating strong brand systems, campaigns, and packaging work
  • 10+ years of experience in brand design within an agency or in-house environment
  • Proven experience leading and directing creative teams across multiple disciplines
  • Deep expertise in brand systems, visual identity, and execution at scale across markets
  • Advanced skills in layout, typography, color theory, illustration, and packaging design
  • Strong conceptual thinker with the ability to translate strategy into compelling creative
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite; familiarity with Figma and Microsoft tools a plus
  • Experience working across print, digital, experiential, and retail environments
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high standards of quality
  • Strong communicator and presenter, comfortable influencing senior stakeholders
  • Highly collaborative, confident, and decisive creative leader
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, fast-paced workflows, and shifting priorities
  • Organized, accountable, and self-directed with excellent time management skills
  • Experience applying AI tools to creative development and workflows

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the CCO to co-lead the overall creative vision and long-term evolution of the Celsius brand
  • Act as a primary guardian of the Celsius brand system, ensuring consistency of visual identity, tone, and storytelling across all markets, channels, and partners
  • Own and evolve brand expression across packaging, POS, campaigns, events, digital, merchandise, and innovation, delivering best-in-class, relevant creative
  • Enforce brand standards globally, reviewing and approving work to ensure alignment across US and international markets
  • Provide clear creative direction, feedback, and quality control across design, copy, production, CG, and external vendors
  • Concept and direct brand photoshoots, including treatments, visual references, concept sketches, on-set art direction, and post-production review
  • Develop and maintain brand frameworks, toolkits, and visual systems that enable teams to execute consistently at scale
  • Guide the development of brand copy and messaging, ensuring verbal tone, headlines, and storytelling align with the Celsius voice
  • Lead and mentor designers, art directors, and copywriters—setting expectations, delegating work, and elevating creative output
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with innovation, marketing, digital, ecommerce, social, and project management teams to bring new ideas to market
  • Oversee packaging and label design development, balancing innovation with brand cohesion and production realities
  • Review and approve print-ready and digital-ready assets across all touchpoints
  • Create moodboards, sketches, and visual references to clearly communicate creative intent
  • Present and pitch creative concepts to internal stakeholders with confidence and clarity
  • Manage and brief external creative partners, agencies, and freelancers as needed
  • Contribute hands-on creative work when required, including layout, typography, illustration, and concept development
  • Balance creative ambition with business objectives, timelines, and operational constraints
  • Stay current on design trends, cultural shifts, and the competitive landscape to inform creative evolution
  • Champion ownership, accountability, and creative excellence across all workstreams
  • Leverage AI and emerging tools (ChatGPT, Midjourney, etc.) to enhance workflows, accelerate concepting, and unlock new creative approaches
