About The Position

This role functions as Head of Design within the Marketing Team. ROC is an employee-owned cutting-edge developer of computer vision based biometric and video analytic technologies whose product portfolio includes industry leading AI/ML algorithms and a full-stack computer vision platform. Founded in 2015, ROC is headquartered in Denver, CO. with offices in Morgantown, WV., and Grand Rapids., MI. With over 60 full-time employees, ROC licenses software in support of a wide range of applications including financial services, law enforcement, military, and consumer electronics. We are looking for a seasoned Creative Director to lead design across our marketing team. This person will own visual direction and brand expression, translating ROC’s brand into clear, compelling creative across digital, print, social, events, and campaigns. You’ll work closely with marketing leadership, product marketing, and external partners to bring our story to life, with a strong eye for creative consistency and execution. This is a key leadership role on the marketing team. You’ll help define how ROC shows up in the market, from brand building to demand generation to investor-facing moments, and shape the visual language of an American AI company at a major stage of growth.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in creative agency roles, with experience leading brand or marketing design.
  • Strong portfolio showing brand systems, campaign work, digital design, and storytelling.
  • Experience leading creative direction and giving feedback to designers.
  • Strong typography, layout, visual hierarchy, print, and design systems skills.
  • Ability to balance speed and quality in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong collaborator who works well across marketing, product, and executive stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design for ROC’s marketing team across campaigns, web, social, tradeshows, sales materials, pitch decks, and other brand touchpoints.
  • Own and evolve ROC’s visual brand identity.
  • Turn messaging and strategy into clear, high-impact creative.
  • Partner with copywriters, product marketers, and leadership to develop campaign concepts and creative systems.
  • Create and review design work, giving clear direction and feedback.
  • Build templates, standards, and workflows that improve speed and consistency.
  • Manage freelancers/agencies when needed and ensure high-quality output.
  • Maintain a strong bar for craft, brand consistency, and visual storytelling.
