Retail and Events - Field Based Brand Ambassador
About The Position
LeafGuard is hiring part-time Lead Generators to represent the company at major retail warehouse locations, local home shows, and community events. The role is the first point of contact for customers: start friendly conversations, briefly explain LeafGuard products, and arrange complimentary in-home meetings with the design team. Work settings may include roadshows with a pop-up banner and podium that the employee sets up and takes down, kiosk shifts near store entrances that require no setup, and home shows or community events where the employee helps set up, staff, and take down a booth or display. No home improvement experience is required; training is provided.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills, including responding promptly to calls and texts, confirming shifts in advance, and raising concerns early.
- Dependability; scheduled shifts are committed to in advance, and no-shows are not acceptable.
- Outgoing, friendly personality and genuine interest in meeting new people.
- Ability to start conversations with strangers while respecting customers who decline.
- Professional appearance, attitude, and behavior.
- Comfort working toward a daily goal of at least five qualified leads in a high-traffic location.
- Ability to learn the product quickly and explain it clearly and honestly.
- Comfort using a tablet or smartphone to enter customer information.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to assigned locations.
Nice To Haves
- Previous retail, customer service, promotions, appointment setting, or lead generation experience is helpful but not required.
Responsibilities
- Represent LeafGuard professionally at assigned retail warehouse locations, home shows, and community events.
- Set up and take down the pop-up banner and podium display for roadshow shifts, and keep display areas clean, organized, and on brand.
- Staff kiosk displays at store entrances.
- Engage shoppers in a warm, respectful, conversational, and non-aggressive manner.
- Provide an accurate overview of LeafGuard products, features, and benefits, and answer basic questions.
- Identify interested homeowners and schedule complimentary in-home meetings with the sales team.
- Accurately collect and enter customer contact and appointment information on a tablet or other device.
- Generate a minimum of five qualified leads per day at a busy retail location.
- Arrive on time and prepared for scheduled shifts.
- Communicate with the manager about scheduling, daily results, and issues at assigned locations.
- Follow LeafGuard and host retailer policies, procedures, and conduct standards.
- Report daily lead activity and customer feedback to the manager.
- Attend required training sessions and team meetings.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
