Reuben's Brews Brand Ambassador

Reuben's BrewsSeattle, WA
Onsite

About The Position

Reuben's Brews Brand Ambassador will report to our Director of Sales, and the successful candidate will be responsible for putting Reuben's beer directly into the hands of new drinkers — running in-store tastings at grocery and bottle shops across Puget Sound, pouring at festivals and events, and representing us at community events. Brand Ambassadors have one primary goal: to turn a first taste into a customer. The successful applicant will work closely with our sales team and our wholesaler partners.

Requirements

  • An infectious positivity
  • Reliability - shifts are scheduled weeks ahead and a missed shift is a booth nobody staffed
  • Frequently required to stand and walk for extended periods, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; regularly lift or move cases of beer and coolers of ice (up to 50 pounds); loading and unloading a vehicle.
  • Valid Washington driver's license and a clean driving record required
  • MAST permit and Washington Food Worker Card required, or willing to obtain within your first two weeks
  • Availability on weekends and some evenings, minimum two shifts per week
  • Must be over 21

Nice To Haves

  • Retail demo, beverage, hospitality or events experience is a plus but not a requirement
  • Glass Backwards mentality – taking unique, solution-focused approaches to problems
  • A proven track record of Making it Happen – infectiously enthusiastic and can-do attitude – a thirst to learn, to teach others, and an obsessive commitment to our brewery's success is an absolute must
  • Recognition that we are here to delight - for internal and external customers, partners, and the Reuben's team as a whole. In this role you are the first and often only Reuben's person a customer will ever meet
  • A One Team mentality – a team-focused approach to achieving results
  • Assume the Best Intent - no ego, a focus on team results, and a willingness to roll up their sleeves and jump in where needed
  • A Passion for Craft - recognize and live a mentality that the extra effort is worth it

Responsibilities

  • Running in-store tastings at grocery stores, bottle shops and specialty retailers across Puget Sound
  • Pouring and sampling at festivals, events and community activations, including weekends and some evenings
  • Representing the full Reuben's portfolio — our beer and our Party On non-alcoholic line — and knowing all of it well enough to talk about it with anyone
  • Setting up and breaking down your own kit: canopy, table, cooler, ice, signage — and keeping product cold and properly presented at all times
  • Starting conversations with people who didn't ask to be talked to, and handling skepticism gracefully
  • Merchandising while on site: facing the shelf, checking cold box placement, noting out-of-stocks and anything that doesn't look right
  • Accurately reporting data after every shift — samples poured, location, customer feedback, and any account or venue asking where to buy
  • Building and maintaining relationships with store staff, beer buyers, event organizers and wholesaler reps
  • Transporting product, equipment and signage safely to and from activations
  • Helping out across sales and potentially taproom events when needed

Benefits

  • Medical and Dental Insurance (for all employees who work 20+ hours per week)
  • Paid Time Off
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan with 4% company match
  • We'll reimburse MAST permit and Washington Food Worker Card costs
