About The Position

To support the effective delivery of all banking services with a branch of Bank of the Sierra, the Branch Utility will provide support for all operational job functions by filling in for the Senior Teller, FSR, Branch Operations Supervisor, and Branch Operations Manager as needed at any branch within their assigned region. The Branch Utility will primarily be a 'float' position that is assigned to an entire region, and they will work closely with the Regional Branch Administrator to ensure the region maintains outstanding customer relations, achieves assigned goals and objectives, adheres to company policy and procedure, completes required tasks, and maintains high employee morale by providing leadership and motivation to assigned team members. The Branch Utility will also cooperate with all business lines across the organization and exhibit commitment to Bank of the Sierra's values and company culture. This position will require flexibility and travel as the Branch Utility may be assigned to various branches on a temporary or ongoing basis.

  • Two (2) to four (4) years related experience and/ or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Two (2) or more years' experience working in a banking or credit union branch or working as an account opening specialist or leading in a banking or credit union branch. One (1) or more years' experience working in Banking Operations. Banking Industry knowledge, including Credit Cards, Debit Cards, Deposit and Loan Products for Consumers, Small Business, and Commercial Clients

Responsibilities

  • Delivers a consistently great customer service experience by promoting accuracy, communication, expertise in financial services and products, owning and solving service issues, and developing relationships with customers
  • As assigned, fills in at a branch and completes all assigned duties and responsibilities for various roles, including: o Financial Services Representatives o Senior Tellers o Branch Operations Supervisors o Branch Operations Managers
  • When not assigned to a specific branch: o Participates in projects and assignments across the retail network o Participates in training, coaching, and mentoring of retail employees o Participates in training sessions to build their own skill sets and knowledge base, including mentoring with Branch Operations Managers in their area to complete branch certifications, balance GLs, review account analysis, complete NSF and non-post reviews o Enhances company reputation and visibility in the community by providing top-tier service and volunteering in community events
  • Ability to travel to locations within the region
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include learning, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
