About The Position

Consumers Credit Union (CCU) is hiring a full-time Branch Specialist for its Elgin branch. This is an early career opportunity with significant growth potential, allowing interaction with members face-to-face and learning about branch operations. The role is a hybrid of Concierge, Teller, and Personal Banker duties, focusing on providing outstanding service, performing financial transactions, opening accounts, and educating members on products and services. Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year of similar work experience (retail, customer service, guest relations, sales, and cash handling)
• Comfortable promoting products and services, educating members, and engaging in sales oriented conversations
• Computer proficient in Data Processing Platforms, Email, Internet/Intranet, Instant Messaging, and Microsoft Office
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to multitask, work at a fast pace, and stay organized
• Propensity to be helpful, positive, act with integrity, and to embrace inclusion & diversity
• Availability to work 40 hours/week and be scheduled between the following hours: Monday – Thursday: 8:15AM – 5:15PM, Friday: 8:15AM – 6:15PM, Regular Saturdays: 8:15AM – 1:15PM

Nice To Haves

• Financial institution, Teller, Personal Banker experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Welcome members in the branch and assist with drive-up service
• Guide members through self-service transactions by teaching them how to use the Interactive Teller Machine (ITM) and its features
• Assisting with teller transactions, resolve member service issues, handle account maintenance, and complete operational tasks as assigned by the Branch Manager/Assistant Branch Manager
• Open new consumer accounts efficiently and accurately
• Identify opportunities to refer members to additional products and services (consumer loans, mortgages, and wealth advisory services)
• Recommend process improvements that enhance the member experience and increase branch efficiency
• Follow all policies and procedures, including compliance, audit, quality control, and balancing standards
