About The Position

Carrier Enterprise is looking for a Full-Time Branch Sales Associate for our location in the Villages. In the Branch Sales Associate role, you will be the face of our branch, providing exceptional customer service, product knowledge, and support to HVAC/R professionals and contractors who visit our location. Your enthusiasm for the industry, excellent communication skills, and commitment to delivering top-notch customer service will be the key to your success. This position is eligible for performance-based bonuses and incentives.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent with one (1) year experience.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in HVAC/R or a related industry.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including active listening and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using computerized sales and inventory management systems.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds of merchandise.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach to access products and supplies.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of HVAC/R products, equipment, and components preferred but not required
  • Prior forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding the right HVAC/R products and supplies for their needs.
  • Provide expert advice, product information, and recommendations.
  • Accurately process customer orders, ensuring that all requested items are available, properly priced, and invoiced correctly.
  • Handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions with precision.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of our HVAC/R product inventory, including specifications, compatibility, and pricing.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and new product releases.
  • Monitor and replenish stock levels on the sales floor.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and report any discrepancies to the store manager.
  • Assist customers in troubleshooting and finding solutions to technical issues related to HVAC/R equipment and components.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized counter area.
  • Ensure a safe working environment for both customers and colleagues.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation for customer transactions, including invoices, returns, and warranty claims.
  • This role may require occasional travel to various locations for training sessions, professional development opportunities, meetings, or other work-related activities. Candidates should be prepared to travel, with advance notice provided whenever possible or as it relates to their specific role.
