About The Position

J.H. Larson Company is seeking a high-energy, visionary Branch Operations Manager for their Hudson, WI branch. This role requires a leader who combines strategic vision with day-to-day action, focusing on developing their team, driving results, and building long-term relationships with customers and suppliers. The Branch Operations Manager will provide leadership for office and warehouse staff, oversee daily operations, ensure high-quality customer service, and achieve sales and productivity goals. This position aligns sales strategies with operational capabilities to drive business growth, improve efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction within a fast-paced, people-first environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 3-5 years leadership experience
  • Proven ability to manage and lead and inspire cross-functional teams
  • Clear and effective communication
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong ability to work cross-functionally
  • Safety mindset
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Computer experience with different order management systems
  • Valid US Driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to understand Excel, CRM and ERP tools

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in operations management, business administration, or related field preferred
  • Eclipse knowledge preferred
  • 3-5 years in Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, or Construction industry preferred
  • Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC certification or licensing preferred

Responsibilities

  • Hire, manage, and develop staff
  • Increase sales and profit, meeting KPIs set
  • Understand financial statements, budgeting needs, and ensure OPEX controls are in place
  • Oversee branch operations, including daily follow-up with customer service queues/CRM, Inventory Management and Warehouse Operations
  • Build relationships with customers, vendors, and employees to maintain consistent customer service levels
  • Assure all safety policies and procedures are being adhered to, and safety culture is positive
  • Ensure marketing strategies are implemented
  • Travel to customers, meetings, and training opportunities
