Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or related experience and/or training. 2 years work-related experience must consist of assistance in branch management operations, lending and supervisory background. Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or financial industry related curriculum, is required to be applicable to the financial industry.
  • Intermediate knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations, Bank operational policies and procedures, and the Bank’s products and services.
  • Intermediate experience, knowledge and training in all lending activities and terminology.
  • Intermediate sales and marketing experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to cross-sell and explain all Bank products and services with confidence and authority.
  • Intermediate loan product knowledge.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to provide leadership, supervision and training employees using positive supervisory techniques to ensure maximum productivity; demonstrated ability in organization and delegation skills.
  • Basic knowledge of human resource labor laws and policies.
  • Basic skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; host computer system; word processing and spreadsheet software programs.
  • Basic typing skills to meet production needs of the position.
  • Advanced math skills; ability to calculate interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages; balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; compute rate, ratio and percent, including the drafting and interpretation of bar graphs.
  • Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others, train personnel, write reports, correspondence and procedures, and speak clearly to customers and employees.
  • Ability to deal with complex problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.
  • Ability to work with no supervision while performing duties.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with file maintenance such as address changes, providing temporary checks, and creating travel addenda’s.
  • Answer telephones, answer questions and direct callers to proper Bank personnel.
  • Assures compliance with all Bank policies, procedures and processes, and all applicable state and federal banking laws, rules and regulations, and adheres to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) responsibilities specific to the position.
  • Actively involved in instilling and maintaining a positive environment through education of the Bank’s products and services; investigate and follow up on significant changes in the status of existing customers; motivate and monitor staff in cross-selling and product presentation; and meet with customers to discuss needs or concerns and outlines appropriate Bank services.
  • Analyze applicants' financial positions to assess creditworthiness and determine the risk associated with extending credit.
  • Assist in training, directing, and monitoring attendance. Evaluates and participates in performance reviews with guidance of manager.
  • Assume responsibility for various branch functions in the absence of staff members or in overload situations.
  • Conduct customer account functions, including executing teller transactions with accuracy and efficiency. Processing requests for new banking services promptly. Providing expert counseling to customers on financial matters. Cross-selling suitable bank products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and meet sales targets.
  • Identify opportunities for new deposit and loan business; provide a superior level of customer experience and promotes a consultative culture; and achieves individual and branch sales goals through new business sales, referrals, and retention of account relationships.
  • Eagerly supports all departments with a variety of transactions and requests.
  • Ensure thorough review of all loan documentation for completeness and accuracy, adhering to the organization's compliance guidelines and regulatory standards.
  • Interview customers to understand their needs and process applications for various consumer loans.
  • Play a positive role in the development and growth of branch staff through excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong delegation skills, assuring a highly cross-trained staff.
  • Represent the Bank in various community, civic, and community reinvestment functions to enhance the Bank’s image further and develop additional business.
  • Responsible for the onboarding of clients to the bank, ensuring each is educated on the digital services the bank including but not limited to Transfer Now, Zelle, Card Manager, Budget and Alerts, working closely with all staff to ensure a high-touch experience is maintained.
  • Support the development of account relationships with customers. Participate in personal calls/visits, assessing needs and offering products/services to meet those needs.

  • Work in conjunction with Branch Manager to achieve established objectives and to ensure that appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions.
  • Work closely with the deposit operations team in resolving inquiries and providing managerial support.
