The primary role of the Branch Operations Assistant is to support the Assistant Branch Manager and Branch Manager in carrying out all branch duties and responsibilities. This role is also responsible for the delivery of bank products and services to consumers, businesses, and commercial customers. Position is responsible for professionally presenting bank products and services to existing and prospective customers, assist customers with banking needs, as well as maintaining compliance with State and Federal regulations and Bank policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 4 or more years of prior branch banking platform experience
  • 2 or more years of years of strong knowledge of branch operations
  • Ability to focus on task and be detail oriented

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the operational integrity, including compliance in all policies and procedures.
  • Support Assistant & Branch Manager in directing and carrying out all sales activities and initiatives.
  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of all bank products and services.
  • Ensures that bank policies and procedures are followed.
  • Support implementation of new and updated policies and procedures.
  • Complete all facets of branch operations including but not limited to branch opening and closing procedures, teller balancing, vault balancing, adhere to bank dual control procedures, maintain branch logs, review and monitor of branch reports, adhere to BSA requirements for monetary instruments and CTRs.
  • Appropriately uses signing authority and overrides.
  • Supervises the branch in the absence of the Assistant or Branch Managers.
  • Provide customers with excellent service and build a rapport that generates customer confidence and loyalty. Resolve customer queries.
  • Provide sales assistance to all customers by utilizing the fundamentals of the sales process, including working with customers to determine their financial needs and recommend appropriate products and services to meet those needs.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures to ensure compliance with operations, security, audit procedures, and fraud prevention to protect customer and bank assets.
  • Support teller and platform duties.
  • Perform other duties assigned.
