About The Position

Blossman Gas & Appliance is seeking customer-oriented applicants for a full-time Branch Office Specialist position at their retail location in Foley, AL. This role is with America's largest, independent propane company, which has over 85 locations in 12 states and is celebrating its 75th year in business. The position offers professional growth opportunities and has very little turnover due to the company culture. The Branch Office Specialist is a primary, first line of contact for customers, handling phone calls, administrative tasks via computer, performing mechanical work with hand tools, and promoting/selling appliances and services. The role blends customer care, computer work, utilization of hand tools, physical work, and consultative selling. Some physically demanding duties include loading/unloading propane tanks, filling tanks safely, working in the tank warehouse, and working with Service Technicians on job sites.

Requirements

• High school diploma required
• Professional, friendly demeanor
• Ability to work regularly in a fast-paced, retail setting
• Solid computer skills and the ability to learn new software
• Reliable; solid work ethic; team-oriented
• Physically capable of regularly lifting, unassisted, 50 lbs.
• Pass pre-employment background check, drug screening, and other pre-employment steps
• Strong commitment to safety, consistent with company policy

Nice To Haves

• Some college or earned degree helpful
• Seek an entry-level position that blends regular physical work during the day, including at job sites, with work inside a showroom setting
• Desire to work M-F from 8-5 with occasional overtime particularly ahead of and during our peak winter demand time of year
• Friendly with solid organizational skills
