We are looking for a Branch Manager to join our team in Cranbrook, BC. As our Branch Manager, you’ll play an integral role in facilitating all aspects of branch operations to ensure a profitable outcome for the company. You are responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the branch in compliance with the company’s established policies and procedures, as well as ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and safety programs. Working with the leadership team, you play a key role in attaining the company’s short and long-term objectives. As part of the management team, you play a key role in recruiting and developing our employees.

Requirements

  • 3+ years management experience in heavy equipment or related industry
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to develop and maintain a strong team atmosphere focused on building the business while providing quality service
  • Proven track record of increasing sales
  • Superior customer relations skills
  • Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Good communications skills
  • Good computer and systems knowledge
  • Strong technical background and capable of communicating with technicians and customers regarding parts and service

Responsibilities

  • Managing the day-to-day operation of the branch in compliance with the company’s established policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and safety programs.
  • Attaining the company’s short and long-term objectives.
  • Recruiting and developing employees.
  • Capitalizing on opportunities to lead your team to growth by serving our customers and providing excellent comprehensive service to all stakeholders.
  • Promoting the company vision, mission and values, and having your team all heading in the same direction.
  • Working with the sales team to evaluate estimates, quotes, bids and proposals to promote maximum selling effort at optimum cost, all in sync with budgetary guidelines.
  • Directing all operational aspects of the branch including human resources, parts, service, and administration to support attaining monthly and annual budgets.
  • Developing and driving forecasts, financial objectives and business plans for all departments of the branch.
  • Keeping receivables under control.
  • Building positive working relationships with all branches, management, and leadership teams by participating in initiatives, meetings, sharing best practices and business ideas.
  • Consistently identifying financial or operational deficiencies and issues and developing creative solutions to address them.
  • Ensuring safe work conditions and correcting hazards or dangers as they occur.
