This position is responsible for administering operations of the branch office. Core duties and responsibilities include providing personnel management for branch staff, managing overall branch office operations, and coaching and leading by example to promote sales efforts of branch employees. The role is also responsible for maintaining the office building, grounds, equipment, and fixtures. The Branch Manager occasionally takes and processes consumer loan applications and closes loans, and performs Customer Service Representative (CSR) and Teller functions. They prepare reports for management as required, sell financial institution products and services, and follow up after initial sales encounters. This role establishes and helps attain internal performance objectives for branch office business volume, deposits, loan portfolios, and audit report quality. They review staff members for formal performance evaluations, recommend salary adjustments, and counsel employees when needed. The Branch Manager coordinates staff training, tests branch security equipment, and investigates security issues. They are expected to attend schools, seminars, and meetings to stay updated on laws, regulations, and services. External calling efforts to sell Bank products and services in Pasco County or nearby locales, and internal sales when in the Branch, are key responsibilities. This includes joint calls with Commercial Lenders, Executive Management, and their Supervisor. They provide their supervisor with an external prospect call plan, emphasizing local businesses, and follow up after sales encounters. The Branch Manager represents the Bank in public relations and community affairs, and is encouraged to be directly involved in community organizations, preferably in a leadership role. They refer investment opportunities to the Bank’s investment partner and mortgage loan requests to the residential lending department. Developing a marketing plan to ensure goal attainment and preparing/maintaining external calling reports monthly are also required. A weekly call with their supervisor is scheduled to update on external calling efforts. The role promotes a professional, positive, and proper image of the Bank to the public and employees, and maintains good working relationships with support departments and management. They must adopt First National Bank of Pasco’s philosophies and adhere to Bank policies and procedures, promoting growth by providing qualified referrals to other Bank staff. Other duties as needed or assigned by management will also be performed.
