About The Position

Curtis PPE Care specializes in the inspection, cleaning, and repair of personal protective ensembles (PPE) and ensemble elements used for structural, wildland, industrial, and aviation firefighting applications. Curtis PPE Care also serves as a highly skilled resource for aftermarket alterations, modifications and accessories for PPE and ensemble elements. Providing support services for personal protective ensembles is our only business, and we take great pride in doing it well. This is a hands-on leadership role. We are looking for a driven, effective Branch Manager to lead our Northern California Curtis PPE Care team. This position is focused on providing excellent service to our Hero customers (fire departments). Core responsibilities include leading & managing teams of employees, meeting sales & operation goals, working directly with customers, and effectively training others in product knowledge. The Branch Manager reports to and works closely with the Director of Operations.

Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years of management experience in a production-type operation
  • Professional experience using Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Effective leadership that leads by example.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Strong ability to effectively engage employees as a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and consistency in a fast-paced environment.
  • “Get-it-done” attitude.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of NFPA1850 and/or other industry standards
  • Bachelors degree
  • Working knowledge of financial reports

Responsibilities

  • Effectively lead and manage a team of employees with various disciplines to deliver the best customer service in the industry.
  • Develop a strong knowledge of industry standards and how they relate to company objectives, including but not limited to NFPA 1850, 1855, 1971, 1500, and OSHA 1910
  • Ensuring the team adheres to production schedules and quality standards.
  • Perform training related to industry standards, product knowledge, and warranty programs for both employees and customers.
  • Lead teams of employees to meet revenue and operating expense goals.
  • Learn all aspects of the cleaning and inspection process, and be willing to jump in and help the team with whatever is needed.
  • Visit with the current customer base and interact with sales staff from other departments within our company.
  • Interact with our supply chain network and manufacturers.
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership to provide active support of company mission, values, and goals.
