About The Position

Ferguson, a Fortune 500 company and a leading value-added distributor of residential and commercial plumbing supplies and pipe, valves and fittings in the U.S., is seeking a Branch Manager to lead its Worcester, MA waterworks branch operations. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supervising daily operations, leading a team, and ensuring outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong operational and financial competence. Ferguson has approximately 36,000 associates across 1,700 locations and is committed to making customers' complex projects simple, successful, and sustainable.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in day-to-day branch functions and people management
  • Water, wastewater or related infrastructure industry experience
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in using data to drive decisions.
  • Understanding of sales side of the business and how to influence sales
  • Strong relationship building skills (customers, vendors, associates, etc)
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Financial literacy with experience managing budgets and P&L statements.

Responsibilities

  • Run day-to-day operations, including inventory, shipments, and customer service.
  • Supervise and train warehouse and customer service personnel.
  • Perform duties such as shipping, receiving, and customer service, especially in coverage situations.
  • Lead the way in upholding top-tier safety standards, ensuring full compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Oversee financial performance, budgeting, and capital planning for the branch.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, internal stakeholders, and vendors.
  • Use data to make decisions and improve performance.
  • Conduct all aspects of employee management, including hiring and scheduling.
