About The Position

Arnold Machinery is seeking a Branch Manager to oversee the overall operation of a branch, focusing on managing sales, maximizing efficiency, and ensuring profitability. This role involves strategic planning, personnel management, and asset protection within a construction equipment context. The Branch Manager will also handle administrative functions related to accounting, inventory, and operational smoothness to ensure excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new computer technology.
  • 2+ years of successful business management experience at a branch or other individual profit center, with profit and loss responsibility.
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Proven sales and customer service success.
  • Effective leadership, motivational, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Knowledgeable in construction equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall operation of the branch, including sales and resource efficiency.
  • Plan and implement strategies for maximum efficiency and profitability.
  • Review strategies daily and present them to managers weekly.
  • Hire, train, and supervise all branch personnel.
  • Conduct monthly reviews with branch associates.
  • Train associates in Silver Service® policies and philosophies.
  • Oversee vehicle use within the branch.
  • Stay informed on all Manufacturer's products and policies.
  • Manage and protect all company assets, including inventory, accounts receivables, and other fixed assets.
  • Create and manage monthly and annual budgets.
  • Supervise all accounting functions in the branch, including correcting billing/pricing errors, ensuring prompt bill submission, matching receipts, and submitting accounting items.
  • Assist Accounts Receivables in collecting funds.
  • Confirm and code expenses for budget entry.
  • Accurately place and receive inventory orders.
  • Maintain accurate inventory.
  • Collect time cards and track sick/vacation time for associates.
  • Assist in updating pricing on the computer and website.
  • Assist in the creation of programs, catalogs, and website information.
  • Order office supplies and other necessary branch items.
  • Ensure the branch functions accurately and smoothly to serve customers.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Division and Corporation.
  • Maintain a clean workplace.
  • Perform data entry and various office duties.
