The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall management and success of the branch, including sales performance, operational excellence, financial accountability, inventory management, customer satisfaction, and employee development. This role works closely with Division Leadership and other branch managers to achieve company goals and maintain Arnold Machinery’s commitment to service excellence. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2–4 years of management or leadership experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and business systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the material handling, heavy equipment, industrial equipment, or related industry.
  • Inventory management and budgeting experience.
  • Customer service and sales leadership experience.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee all branch operations.
  • Lead, coach, and develop branch personnel.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise branch employees.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and employee development discussions.
  • Promote and reinforce Arnold Machinery’s Silver Service® culture and customer service standards.
  • Ensure efficient and proper use of company vehicles and equipment.
  • Stay informed on manufacturer products, programs, and policies.
  • Collaborate with Division Leadership to achieve strategic goals and objectives.
  • Partner with other branch managers to support company-wide sales, inventory, and operational initiatives.
  • Drive branch sales growth and profitability.
  • Support sales initiatives and customer retention efforts.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Monitor branch performance and implement strategies to achieve sales goals.
  • Manage and protect company assets, including: Inventory, Accounts receivable, Fixed assets.
  • Develop and manage monthly and annual budgets.
  • Assist with accounts receivable collections and aging management.
  • Review branch expenses for accuracy and budget compliance.
  • Ensure accurate inventory ordering, receiving, and tracking.
  • Supervise branch accounting and administrative functions.
  • Ensure billing and pricing accuracy.
  • Verify invoices and submit payments in a timely manner.
  • Match receipts to statements and ensure documentation accuracy.
  • Submit required financial and accounting reports to Division Administration on schedule.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and controls.
  • Track employee timecards, attendance, vacation, and sick leave.
  • Order office supplies and operational materials as needed.
  • Ensure branch processes operate efficiently and effectively to support customers.
  • Learn and utilize the NDS computer system for branch operations.
  • Support division initiatives and special projects as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
