About The Position

As Branch Manager at United Rentals, you will lead a major business enterprise and build a profitable branch. You will hire and motivate a team across sales, service, maintenance, and driving roles; ensure enthusiastic, informed customer service; and use business and management skills to support branch success. United Rentals provides tools, technology, and support for the role. This position is deemed Safety Sensitive under United Rentals’ policies and procedures.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of successful business management experience with profit and loss responsibility at a branch or other individual profit center.
Understanding of business accounting principles and budget preparation.
Strong sales and customer service experience.
Effective leadership, motivational, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficient computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office.
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Outside sales experience preferred.
Knowledge and experience in the equipment rental industry preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage overall branch operations to ensure safety, productivity, customer service, and profitability.
Oversee sales efforts and business initiatives.
Prepare profit and loss statements, monthly operating reviews, yearly budgets, and other reports detailing operational status.
Manage personnel matters.
Oversee safety matters, including audits, safety training, OSHA compliance, DOT regulations, and drug and alcohol testing.
Perform other duties as assigned.
