The Branch Manager is responsible for maintaining high levels of productivity among branch personnel through careful supervision, including training, coaching, disciplining, and evaluating. This role involves making recommendations on hiring, terminations, and salary increases. The Branch Manager also maximizes the sales performance of branch staff in line with goals, conducts daily huddles, and fosters a synergistic team atmosphere to ensure high customer satisfaction. They are responsible for the profitability of the branch, directing daily operations, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Additionally, the Branch Manager manages staffing, payroll, and investigates policy and procedure adherence. They resolve customer complaints, inspect high-dollar transactions to mitigate fraud, ensure proper settlement of check items, and review daily printouts to monitor suspicious activity. Security of ATMs and functioning of security cameras are also key responsibilities. The role involves completing Currency Transaction reports, reviewing business profiles, administering signature guarantees, and completing financial reconciliation reports. Community involvement and making decisions on donations are part of the role, as is ensuring Business Resumption Plan testing is completed. The Branch Manager may operate as a Universal Banker when necessary and works with People Operations to fill open positions.
