About The Position
Lead the Branch That Guides People Through One of Life's Biggest Moments. You’re the person who makes chaos look organized. You see the moving truck schedule, the crew challenges, the customer concerns, and the small details that separate an average move from an exceptional one, and you know how to bring people together to get it done. As Branch Operations Manager, you’ll be the leader behind every successful move in Victoria. You’ll build strong teams, coach people to perform at their best, solve problems in real time, and make sure every customer experiences what over 100 years of doing things right looks like. This is a hands-on leadership role. You won’t just manage from behind a desk, but you’ll be in the field going on moves when required and supporting crews, connecting with customers, improving processes, and representing Ferguson in the Victoria community.
Requirements
- Hands-on leader who enjoys being close to the work and the people doing it
- Managed teams in operations, logistics, transportation, hospitality, construction, moving, or another home service-based industry
- Knows how to motivate people while holding high standards
- Organized, adaptable, and comfortable managing competing priorities
- Natural problem solver who stays calm when things get busy
- Cares deeply about customer experience and the reputation your team creates
- Sees a challenge and thinks, “How can we make this better?”
- Leadership ability, initiative, and attitude matter most

Responsibilities
- Attend on-site appointments with HQ Sales
- Capture job details (photos, measurements, notes) for accurate pricing
- Represent Ferguson professionally with customers
- Execute local brand-building campaigns: signage, box blitzes, truck visibility, door hangers, realtor engagement, and community events
- Lead recruitment and onboarding for movers, drivers, and packers
- Run structured and refresher training sessions to maintain Ferguson standards
- Oversee branch operations and dispatch
- Submit operational reports: job costing, KPIs, crew hours, and claims
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Mentor the Operations Team Lead and coach crews
- Act as the escalation point for complex customer issues or claims
- Champion “The Ferguson Way” by ensuring every move is professional, caring, and stress-free
