About The Position

Branch Manager seeking an experienced professional for a career opportunity. This role provides quality service to members through effective, efficient, and motivating leadership for employees in a small to medium branch with fewer than 15 staff. The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of tellers, member services, and loan areas within the assigned branch.

Requirements

  • Minimum Associate's Degree in an applicable field.
  • Annual completion of mandatory Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, and Red Flag Identity Theft training.
  • 1-3 years of previous experience within a credit union and/or lending environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years of management/supervisory experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of all Credit Union services, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to work with various software applications and be computer literate.
  • Experience in lending and membership services.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to direct the work of subordinates and constructively instruct others.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Commitment to rendering the best possible service to all members.
  • Maintain a professional yet friendly atmosphere.

Nice To Haves

  • May be required to meet the qualifications necessary to be registered with the NMLS under the provisions set forth by the S.A.F.E. Act.
  • Participates in FBFCU in-house training sessions, professional seminars and continuing education as made available.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises, motivates, and supports branch personnel by assigning work, answering questions, solving problems, managing the production pipeline, and assisting with complex transactions and sensitive member relations.
  • Evaluates subordinate job performance to ensure quality service to members and employees, and assists with timely employee evaluations.
  • Oversees work schedules for assigned employees to ensure proper service to the membership.
  • Works with Marketing and Business Development to attract and retain new members and business relationships.
  • Builds market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business.
  • Has overall responsibility for branch sales and servicing of loans, deposit accounts, and services.
  • Coordinates and integrates branch functions to provide a friendly, professional atmosphere and quality service.
  • Ensures office operations are performed securely and in a timely manner.
  • Conducts staff meetings to discuss procedural changes, new developments or services, areas for improvement, and general information.
  • Ensures adequate staffing for efficient branch operations.
  • Oversees branch security and safety, and alerts employees to security changes.
  • Responsible for the end-of-month Loan Summary Report and the loans over three-month report.
  • Ensures employees are trained and cross-trained in all phases of their jobs.
  • Assists with the branch facility and is responsible for its overall physical maintenance, including ATM functions.
  • Complies with the Federal Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering & Customer Identification Policy (BSA), the OFAC Policy, and the Identity Theft Policy.
