About The Position

Langley Federal Credit Union is seeking a Full-Time Branch Manager to work in person at their Denbigh Branch in Newport News, VA. The Branch Manager will assume overall responsibility for growing the assigned branch's business and helping Langley succeed. This role involves managing member demands, defining effectiveness and success for teammates, targeting resources, and reviewing actions for relevance and effectiveness towards organizational goals. The manager will lead staff and utilize resources to provide impeccable member service, train staff in consultative selling to offer financial products and services, and provide ongoing individual coaching for staff development. Additionally, the role includes developing new business through community outreach and networking.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a related field or four years of experience in a financial institution or sales or service experience advising customers when choosing between options, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Four years of financial institution experience is required.
Two years of supervisory experience required.
Employees in this position are required to obtain and maintain a valid Notary Public commission within six (6) months of their hire date as a condition of continued employment.

Responsibilities

Grows market share of loans and deposits.
Conducts business development activities that help form and expand member relationships.
Represents Langley in the community at civic and professional events.
Drives branch results that align with the achievement of Success Sharing goals.
Supports and coaches the sales and service culture at all times by providing weekly, monthly, individual, and team coaching.
Supervises operational and administrative activities, including payroll, scheduling, balancing, opening, and closing.
Delivers ongoing feedback on staff performance and development.
Fosters teamwork by professionally interacting with peers, supervisors, and other Langley employees.
Serves as a mentor and role model for all staff, including on-site training.
Participates actively in cross-departmental collaboration to ensure effective and efficient communication.
Participates in ongoing evaluation of processes and procedures to ensure the member experience is met.
Assists in developing and implementing cross-departmental initiatives, improving efficiencies and processes throughout the Credit Union.
Processes new accounts, additional share types, and IRAs following policies to ensure compliance with BSA and US Patriots Act laws.
Processes consumer loan products and services, including personal, auto, home equity line of credit, and credit cards, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and credit union policies and procedures.
Processes all types of transactions for members, including balance inquiries, transfers, payments, loan advances, account openings, and all other requests.
Complies with all Credit Union policies and regulatory requirements.
Works at other branch locations as needed.
