About The Position

Daikin Comfort Technologies Distribution, Inc. is seeking a professional, skilled individual for the Branch Manager Trainee position within its Branch Operations group in Jersey Village, TX. The Branch Manager Trainee will learn all aspects of branch operations and the Branch Manager role by shadowing or performing the duties of each position within the branch. This role requires a strong team player with a results-oriented mindset, a dedication to excellence, and a sense of urgency to achieve business objectives. An online assessment is required for consideration.

Requirements

• Knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel and Power Point.
• Ability to learn and demonstrate knowledge of the complete operations of the branch in a period of 8-12 months and be ready to move into a Branch Manager position when training is complete.
• Effective and high-quality Customer Service/Relationship management skills via walk-ins, phone, and email.
• Positive, professional attitude, handling difficult customers with ability to diffuse negative situations.
• Developing rapport and effective listening skills including high level of professionalism – patience, poise and tact.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective organizational skills and time management skills including ability to prioritize and multi-task.

• 1 – 3 years customer service, retail or HVAC preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in business - Prefer degree in Business, Sales, HVAC related field OR equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Help the branch build its sales, including new business, by maintaining house accounts through active dealer communication of new product launches, services, supplies, prices, and new product sales/discounts via outbound calls and in-house counter discussions.
• Conduct outbound calls to existing and lost customer accounts.
• Maintain sales programs within the assigned territory by keeping customers informed about available services, supplies, prices, and new products.
• Provide excellent customer service via walk-ins, phone calls, and emails.
• Execute all aspects of the sales function, including order processing, purchase orders, payment processing, quotes, and delivery dates, ensuring accuracy of information entered to guarantee correct items are ordered.
• Periodically reach out to customers to determine satisfaction with the organization, products, and services.
• Maintain records and prepare reports on sales activities and manage inventory levels.
• Expand knowledge of HVAC products and stay current with the latest industry trends.
• Learn the roles and responsibilities of all functions within the branch, including CSRs/Inside Sales Representatives, Warehouse Associates, Drivers, and Branch Manager.
• Work positively with all levels of management and peers to ensure all areas and departments are kept up-to-speed and are working as an effective team to deliver the highest level of service possible.
• Ensure the branch showroom is adequately stocked, cleaned, and organized, as well as the warehouse and showroom, and ensure there are no safety hazards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
