Requirements

  • High School Diploma, BA Degree and/or 2 years in Banking.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience or more of prior banking which may include lending experience.
  • 10 years’ previous management/supervisory experience.
  • Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and coaching the branch team.
  • Overseeing the administration and coordination of sales and service activities of their assigned branch.
  • Maximizing revenue, profitability, sales, and customer satisfaction.
  • Minimizing operational losses.
  • Ensuring compliance of operational and security procedures.
  • Deepening existing relationships and minimizing customer attrition.
  • Supporting the administration and coordination of sales and service activities, promotional campaigns, and product initiatives.
  • Tracking progress toward branch loan and deposit goals and initiating directives to accomplish these objectives.
  • Developing branch projections and expectations in strategic planning to include sales goals.
  • Providing leadership by setting an example for the staff, personifying good customer relations and effective selling and cross-selling.
  • Supervising staff members in their daily performance, impacting decisions on personnel regarding employment, performance ratings, promotions, salary, transfers, and termination.
  • Assisting each staff member in setting goals, explaining expectations, and coaching to achieve success.
  • Directing the hiring, training, and retraining of branch staff members, including operations and product knowledge, customer relations, and sales.
  • Conducting regular meetings with staff to discuss sales, campaigns, products, services, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Being responsible for the branch’s security procedures and understanding the functions and operations of security devices.
  • Understanding and complying with branch audit procedures.
  • Serving customers quickly, accurately, efficiently, and confidentially.
  • Making appropriate recommendations based on customer information.
  • Showing appreciation for customer’s time and business.
  • Processing all loan applications (within lending authority) and paperwork, extending credit to qualified individuals and businesses.
  • Assisting in the collections of delinquent loans.
  • Managing loan and deposit exceptions.
  • Opening new deposit accounts and understanding the financial services offered by the bank.
  • Handling services such as stop payments, wire transfers, and other maintenance functions within assigned limits.
  • Resolving customer problems and complaints with courtesy and discretion.
  • Actively participating in business development activities within the community.
  • Explaining bank objectives, policies, and programs to employees and directing their implementation.
  • Monitoring branch resources and assets and submitting requests as necessary.
  • Ensuring compliance to all banking regulations including Regulation CC and Bank Secrecy Act.
  • Presenting a neat, professional personal appearance and maintaining an orderly, attractive work area.
  • Maintaining a strong understanding of customer facing technology with the ability to discuss with and enroll customers in self-service options.
  • Accepting other duties as assigned.
