About The Position

Tyndall Federal Credit Union is seeking a Branch Manager II to direct the operations of a medium-sized credit union facility, typically with 5 to 10 employees. The role ensures the branch meets organizational, financial, operational, service, and growth plans, and involves limited lending authority. The position is based at the Panama City Beach Branch in Panama City, Florida.

Requirements

  • Three to five years of similar or related experience.
  • A bachelor's degree, or achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).
  • Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature.
  • Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level.
  • Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
  • Must pass registration based on the SAFE Act requirements or already be registered.
  • Completes required BSA/AML training with a passing grade of 80% or higher.
  • Accurately completes CTRs and SARs within the required timeframe.
  • Accurately completes Monetary Instrument Logs for the cash purchase of Cashier's Checks, Money Orders, and Travelers Checks as needed.
  • Completes required Customer Identification and Red Flags Program requirements to include documentation of discrepancy resolution as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Support the Member Care Center during periods of high call volume or staffing needs by assisting with incoming member phone calls, ensuring consistent service quality across all channels.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the day-to-day operation of the branch within the credit union's policies and procedures.
  • Monitors and manages actions to achieve the credit union's strategic objectives.
  • Trains, coaches, mentors, and takes corrective actions for branch personnel.
  • Creates the annual budget and manages operating expenses for the branch.
  • Meets or exceeds annual budgeted operating and growth plans for the branch.
  • Maintains and improves the financial stability of the branch.
  • Directs, develops, trains, motivates, hires, and disciplines branch personnel.
  • Administers performance evaluations and recommends personnel actions.
  • Inspires, mentors, and monitors staff to achieve sales and service levels.
  • Assists with business development in the community, fostering relationships for branch and Credit Union growth.
  • Supports the Member Care Center during high call volume or staffing needs.
  • Maintains communication with the main office, prepares and submits standard reports.
  • Attends scheduled management meetings.
  • Represents the branch in relationships with members, the community, sponsor organizations, suppliers, and other financial institutions.
  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory programs, including Bank Secrecy Act, Office of Foreign Asset Control Program, and Customer Identification Program.
  • Assists other department personnel and performs other duties as assigned.
  • Remote employees must adhere to their agreed-upon work schedule from a secure location, participating in virtual meetings, video conferences/other communications, and maintaining regular, responsive communication during working hours.
