About The Position

World Finance is seeking an energetic Branch Manager to guide customers on their financial journey. The Branch Manager will manage a branch effectively and efficiently to maximize projected profit and growth objectives through good customer service, good lending skills, effective collection activity, and the training of branch personnel. They provide on-site management responsibilities and ensure team members perform their job duties in a satisfactory manner in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. This is a people-focused role where the Branch Manager will lead and support a team dedicated to helping customers reach their financial goals. The ideal candidate is a confident communicator and an optimistic forward-thinker, who will serve as a source of direction, motivation, and knowledge for their team members.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of self-confidence, job knowledge, communications skills, and organizational skills.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills.
  • Some knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
  • Must be able to understand, handle, and produce loan documents.
  • Must have reliable personal transportation to perform essential job duties, including transporting operating cash and daily deposits to and from a bank.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance as required to perform assigned duties.
  • Ability to perform computer work, handle documents, and communicate information effectively.
  • Professionalism, adaptability, collaboration, and multitasking.
  • Must communicate clearly and professionally in person, by phone, and electronically.
  • Regular in-person attendance during scheduled work hours is essential.

Nice To Haves

  • Some college preferred
  • Must be licensed or have the ability to obtain licensing to sell insurance products
  • 2 or more years of experience in managing a branch or equivalent experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage a branch effectively and efficiently to maximize projected profit and growth objectives.
  • Provide on-site management responsibilities and ensure team members perform their job duties satisfactorily and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Exercise judgment and discretion in making decisions affecting team members and branch performance, and keep the District Manager informed of branch performance.
  • Maintain consistent growth in accounts through obtaining new borrowers and retaining existing borrowers.
  • Promote Tax preparation and other financial products to current and future customers.
  • Maintain consistent growth in tax preparation customers.
  • Create and maintain branch solvency through asset control, proper credit extension, and follow-up on past due accounts.
  • Oversee the budget and operating expenses of the branch.
  • Assist in leasing and asset management decisions regarding the branch location.
  • Approve and close all new loans, increases, and delinquent renewals, and assist team members as necessary.
  • Maintain internal audits to satisfactory or better.
  • Ensure adherence to all policies, guidelines, and rules outlined in the Operations Manual and Team Member Handbook, and ensure team members do the same.
  • Ensure a safe and secure branch environment by enforcing safety, emergency, and security procedures, maintaining cash controls, addressing risks, and promptly reporting incidents.
  • Supervise and provide leadership to direct reports, ensuring performance aligns with branch goals and company standards.
  • Assign responsibilities and duties to team members and examine their work for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Oversee human resource functions within the branch, including hiring, separations, employee relations, disciplinary actions, and performance management counseling.
  • Partner with Human Resources to ensure consistency and compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Set a positive and professional tone for the branch culture, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Take ownership of presenting a good company image to the community.
  • Ensure all branch team members are dressed professionally and the office is neat and clean.
  • Handle escalated customer concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Train team members and develop their skills and abilities for future growth and understanding of company policies, branch operations, procedures, and consumer finance laws.
  • Provide leadership to motivate team members and create and maintain high branch production by achieving company goals.
  • Establish a daily operational routine to provide direction to the branch team on tasks and expectations.
  • Ensure team members adhere to working hours, breaks, and accurate time recording, and that time off does not interfere with customer needs.
  • Provide feedback to team members and contribute to team member evaluations.
