About The Position

To direct the operations of a small to medium-sized remote bank facility, ensuring the branch meets organizational financial, operational, service, and growth plans.

Requirements

  • Five years to eight years of similar or related experience.
  • A bachelor's degree, or achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g. information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).
  • Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
  • Able to operate a 10-key calculator, typewriter, and computer keyboard.
  • Good communication skills.
  • The person in this position needs to frequently move about inside the office to interact with associates or customers and access office machinery and file cabinets.
  • The person in the position constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, photocopier, and printer.

  • To develop and maintain a positive and productive working relationship with department/branch staff.

Responsibilities

  • Underwrites loans within authorized levels; reviews loan underwriting decisions of subordinate personnel.
  • Directs, develops, motivates, and disciplines branch personnel; administers performance evaluations and recommends appropriate personnel actions.
  • Monitors branch operating results relative to established objectives and ensures that appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions.
  • Maintains communications with main office; prepares and submits standard reports; attends scheduled management meetings.
  • Represents the branch as appropriate in its relationships with customers and business, community, and civic organizations, as well as suppliers, other financial institutions, and other similar groups.
  • Controls past due and charged off accounts for the branch.
  • Monitors all branch activities to ensure they are in compliance with established bank policies and procedures.
  • May serve as backup to customer service representative.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
