About The Position

The primary function of this role is to plan and manage branch operations to ensure efficient and profitable parts, service, and product support sales. This position also involves providing effective customer relations to enhance continuing services use by customers and supporting overall construction sales throughout the company.

Requirements

  • High school graduate with 2 years supervisor experience, with 4 years construction service industry or similar product support/service experience.
  • College graduate with 2 years supervisory experience, preferably in a similar service industry.
  • Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, and drive routinely and regularly.
  • Should have PC experience and be familiar with Windows Office, especially Excel and Word and MS Outlook.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical/community college or four-year college graduate.
  • Preferably in a similar service industry (for supervisory experience).

Responsibilities

  • Provides daily supervision and guidance for service and parts branch associates and manages general office business activities.
  • Establishes and monitors parts and service goals and results, including location conditions, job and performance standards, time utilization, and associate performance.
  • Ensures timely and appropriate scheduling/dispatching of field service technicians.
  • Ensures proper work order maintenance by monitoring daily time entry and workorder processing, meeting the company’s mandated “10 days from last labor activity” in closings of workorders.
  • Evaluates overall quality of site parts and service activities and implements actions to provide the best customer service while ensuring necessary profitability.
  • Monitors all company property to ensure proper maintenance (i.e., vehicles, building, tooling, etc.).
  • Ensures all required reports and operational bookkeeping are submitted in a timely manner.
  • Ensures cash sale collection procedures are followed.
  • Provides managerial integration with the Sales Manager and Product Support Manager to continuously improve operational sales and profits.
  • Participates as a member of the divisional management staff in planning and assessing new parts and service approaches and objectives to ensure future profits and customer service.
  • Develops and administers annual parts and service budgets and monitors expenditures to ensure the most cost-effective and efficient utilization of resources (associates, fiscal, and capitol).
  • Conducts periodic customer site visits to promote construction service and parts activities.
  • Assists in developing parts and service merchandising programs by submitting ideas from customer site visits and discussions.
  • Provides daily and long-term leadership for direct report associates, including recruiting/hiring, coaching/supporting, conducting performance reviews, training and developing, counseling and disciplining, and dismissing.
